Abarth 595 2016, even more power and effectiveness

This is definitely the year of Abarth. The launch of the Abarth 124 Spider 2016 now joins the renewal of the small brand, which has won countless enthusiasts since 2008. We talked about the Abarth 595, which receives improvements, like the Fiat 500 2015 model that it is based and which already had a contact test.

The Abarth 595 2016 will be available with normal body and cabrio and three trim levels, 595 (the access version) 595 Turismo (with more exclusive finishes) and 595 Competizione (the sportiest) linked to engine power and other preparations. The mark indicates that have been taken as Biposto refront to 695, indicating a lot about its potential.

The biggest news comes hand of mechanics. The 1.4 T-Jet 595 and 595 mounted Tourism now reaches 145 hp and 206 Nm of torque in the first and second 165 hp and 230 Nm, thanks to a Garret turbo. Meanwhile, the 595 Competizione increases the power to 180 hp and achieves an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.7 seconds with the exhaust Record Monza high-performance Brembo brakes with four-piston calipers, sport seats Abarth Corsa by Sabelt ... and you can now equip a limited slip differential improves traction in extreme condicciones. It will be one of the elements that inlcudes the new Performance Pack (with 17-inch wheels, leather seats and Alcantara Sabelt, personalization exterior ...)

As before, these three variants of the 1.4 T-jet engine associated with the five-speed manual gearbox or a robotised sequential gearbox that can be operated with paddles (which we did not like too much in our test 595C Tourism).

For those little initiated, it will be difficult to recognize previous models Abarth. There are changes in the front, which improves air intake and engine refigeraciĆ³n 18%. At the rear there is also renewal of the bumper, with different diffusers fundiĆ³n level of finish (matte black in the 595, in the body color for the 595 Turismo and Competizione gray at 595). It will be easier to tell them apart by looking at the optics. Lights now feature LED daytime series (there are optional xenon). We also report 15 body colors, including pastel colors and metallics are included.

We hope to soon see photos of the interior, where stand the inclusion of new materials (do not miss the Alcantara and carbon fiber), sports seats from the level of simpler finish, a new steering wheel with flattened base and a dashboard that changes depending on the version: body color for 595, matt gray on gray 595 595 Turismo and Competizione (eye, there is available a carbon, derived from equipping the 695 Biposto).

There are also improvements in the instrument panel, with new graphics in Sport mode and varies lighting turbo pressure gauge, now white instead of orange. And, as might be expected, the multimedia system evolves. Series equips the UConnect touchscreen 5 inches, being available other than 7-inch navigator and telemetry (with Apple carplay and Google Android Auto as options), with a BeatsAudio system with seven speakers of 480 W and eight-channel amplifier integrated which will handle the music.
