Rolls-Royce Introduces Prototype Project Cullinan
Launched as an open letter dated 18
February this year, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars promising to inform Cullinan project
progress to stakeholders. To fulfill that promise, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars
today, Wednesday (8/4) have published photographs of early milestone vehicle
development program. These photos illustrate an early prototype that will be
seen on public roads this week.
This early prototype engineering
refers to the Phantom Series II models with the lower body, which was
specifically created to initiate the development of a system of suspension
all-wheel drive (four wheel drive) which will result in ease of driving
anywhere. This body may indicate the size of the new car, but did not show
aspects of the design of high-sided and all-terrain as announced by Rolls-Royce
Motor Cars in February this year.
The series of initial trials will
focus on the character of Cullinan project in on-road track that includes the
suspension until the spike high berbodi vehicle stability and will test the new
suspension on all types of international road surface, both in the testing
facilities as well as on public roads. Test the road surface include rocky road
- Belgian Pave, cobblestone -, concrete roads are bumpy (corrugated concrete),
the road surface which cause noise and echo as well as the surface with the
speed reducers (bumps).
Cullinan project engineering
prototype test for on-road and off-road will take same time. This is to ensure
that consumers can feel unparalleled ride quality over rough surfaces and
challenging terrain as they feel on the highway.
